I am a master’s student in counseling at Benedictine University, passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, and I enjoy incorporating expressive arts and play-based interventions to help clients communicate and process their experiences in ways that feel natural and engaging.
Before entering the counseling field, I worked as a behavior therapist supporting children with diverse emotional and developmental needs, which continues to shape my thoughtful and individualized approach to care. I am interested in working with children and adolescents ages 3–18, and I also hold a special place in my heart for working with mothers navigating postpartum and perinatal experiences. Becoming a mother myself has deepened my passion for this work and allows me to offer an empathetic and understanding space during times of adjustment and identity change.
As a Muslim and second-generation American, I bring a multicultural and inclusive lens to my work and strive to honor each client’s unique background and lived experiences. Outside of my work, I enjoy scrapbooking, trying new coffee shops, and gardening with my mom, activities that keep me grounded and connected to creativity and joy.
