Vianney León

Licensed Professional Counselor

Vianney León, MSW, LSW

I come to this work with care, humility, and deep respect. It’s an honor to provide care to people navigating first-generation experiences, trauma, and/or the weight of feeling overwhelmed, alone, anxious, and/or grieving. My approach is rooted in liberatory psychology. I pay attention to how systems, culture, family, and community shape your experiences. I use somatic work to notice how stress, emotions, or trauma show up in your body. I also use humor to ease stress, open hard conversations, and create a safer space for healing.

This is a space where your whole self is accepted, including the ways you cope and express yourself. I believe you already have strength, wisdom, and resilience, even when life feels heavy. You are encouraged to fully be yourself, in all the ways you stim, express, and exist in the world.

More About Vianney

I’m a first-generation Mexican American from Cicero, Illinois (just outside of Chicago). When I’m not therapy-ing, I’m probably snuggled up with my dogs, attempting a new vegan recipe (results may vary), or enjoying cozy gaming. I also love quality time with my family and friends. My current special interests is vegetable gardening.
